Nanjing Deers has successfully completed the delivery of about 1 km 28” floating discharge hoses for the Nangang Ethylene Terminal Channel Dredging Project in Tianjin, China.

The project, located within the west harbor basin of Tianjin Nangang, plays a critical role in the foundation dredging and channel expansion works for two planned 50,000 DWT berths. The construction scope includes dredging of the quay front foundation trench, as well as backfilling of dredged materials on the western side of the channel.

The water area features a 100-meter-wide berthing basin, with both the basin and turning area designed to a depth of -14.6 meters, and a turning basin diameter of 460 meters. Upon completion, the project will provide essential groundwork for the upcoming Sinopec Nangang Ethylene Terminal, ensuring safe and efficient vessel access.

Enhanced Dredging Efficiency with Floating Hose Systems

The 28’’ floating hoses supplied by Nanjing Deers are designed for superior buoyancy, wear resistance, and operational flexibility, making them ideal for high-performance dredging projects.

By adopting floating discharge hoses instead of traditional pipeline setups, the installation and relocation process becomes more efficient, significantly boosting dredging productivity and reducing operational downtime. The hoses also maintain excellent stability during sediment transport, ensuring smooth operation even under challenging marine conditions.

This shipment marks another successful contribution by Nanjing Deers to China’s large-scale coastal infrastructure development, reinforcing our commitment to providing reliable dredging hose solutions for global maritime projects.
